I was a little skeptical about standing on glass since I am a larger person but it is a sturdy scale. It comes in Black or White so you have a choice of color. All you have to do is step on it and it will tell you what your weight. The profiles store your weight, gender, height and age so that you can track your progress. In the description it says you can weight parcels and boxes so I will have to try that. I love that it automatically turns off to save battery power. To get accurate results of body fat, hydration, muscle and bone mass you have to step on barefoot and with dry feet or it will only tell you the weight. The first scale I received must have been defective because I couldn't get it to tell me anything other than the weight but the company replaced it and I had much better luck with the new one. Even then I did have a little trouble trying to stand on it right or putting my feet just right so that it would tell me all of my information. It comes with an instruction book that tells you everything you need to know about setting up profiles but only for kids as young as 10. It's been a little bit since I posted so here I am with a great self inflatable outdoor & travel pillow. I'm really liking this Pillow-To-Go Self Inflating Pillow.
